Heart Air Display and Classic car Show
Rougham Airfield Suffolk
August 16th 2009
Cars
14 cars, our best turn out this year. The Picnic in the Park (South Weald) would have matched it, but for various reasons not everyone "booked in" was able to make it. The location the Rougham Show also helped, being in Suffolk it came within reasonable travelling distance for more members. You've all seen photos of your cars before, but you can't get too much of a good thing so here they are:
John and Linda Deed's magnificent Deville
V6 PAN it can only be John and Sue Gibson's 2.3 Kallista
Steve and Sharon Johnson's MK1 Lima, now sports a sturdy "roll over" bar.
Alec and Mary Bradshaw's automatic 2.8 Kallista.
Dave Turner's much travelled 2.8 Automatic Kallista. Newly re-upholstered it looks really good.
Mark and Collete Kingswell's very nice 2.9i Kallista.
Cliff and Yvonne Benton's 2.8 Kallista. Over heating problems solved,
Roy and Jennifer Biddle's much modified and much travelled 2.8i Kallista.
Tony and Jan Appleby's very nice Mk2 Lima.
Another nice car. Chris Saeer's 2.8 Kallista complete with new set of "knock ons".
Dennis and Pauline Powers very nice 1.6 Kallista.
Another nice 1.6. this one belongs to Roger and Karen Edwards
Les and Pearl Pratt's 2.9i Kallista. Well over 100,000 miles on the clock, but still looks good and runs well. They drove all the way up from Hampshire for this event!
and we mustn't forget our adopted classic, which in spite of its appearance is older than most of the Panthers on display, i.e. Peter and Leigh Heales's immaculate Ferrari 308.
John's Deville and the 308 received the most attention from the public.
